The Bright Side Sweater

Working with cotton yarn is my favourite!
I have so much fun designing easy summer patterns with cotton.

When I saw all the colourways CotLin came in,
I knew I wanted to make a rainbow striped garment.

This pattern is very simple and follows the same
pattern elements like many of my other designs.

What's great about this project is you can use any colours you want.
I needed a bright happy project to get through my isolation days...so I chose rainbow!

I've always found with crochet, colour changing between rows tend to bleed into each other.
I wanted to create stripes that stand on their own, so every other row you will be working in the back loop.

I can't wait to see what colours your chose.
Check out all the CotLin colourways, click HERE

Notes before you begin:
-I used 2 strands of each colour at a time, I like the weight of the sweater like this.  You can definitely make this with just one strand of each colour. (your hook size/gauge will change)
-the amount of ribbing you complete to start each panel is how wide each panel will be
-complete more rows in the ribbing for a larger size, and less rows in the ribbing for a smaller size
-this sweater is made up of 4 panels: front x 1, back x 1, and sleeves x 2
-all panels are seamed together
-the collar is completed by attaching yarn and worked right into the neck line. (after you've seamed it together)
