Mini Hat Ornament

I just had to make a mini hat for my tree.

How cute is this!?

This pattern is very easy and will take you no more than 30 minutes.

Grab some scrap yarn and let's get started.

Notes before you begin:

-the ribbing is made first and slip stitched together

-the rest of the hat is crocheted in the round and seamed/cinched at the top

-the pom pom is made separately and attached to the top of the hat

-I've added photos for all the steps described above

Mini Sweater Ornament

 I love Christmas!

I love putting our tree up, pumping Christmas songs, and getting all the ornaments out.

I wanted to add a few mini ornaments to add to our tree this year.

Here is the first of many: The Mini Sweater Ornament.

This pattern is very easy and identical to how you would

crochet a sweater in panels.

You can also make this in one solid colour instead of stripes, the options

are endless.

Notes:

-The front and back panels are made first, then seamed at the shoulders.

-The sleeves are worked flat right onto the seamed panels

-the mini sweater is folded in half and seamed under each sleeve and each side

-the mini hangers can be found on Amazon (I used my daughters doll clothes hanger..lol)

-this is a great project to use with scrap yarn, it doesn't use much at all.

Let's get started so you can hang it up on your tree tonight!

Faux Fur Stocking

I'm so excited to publish my first Holiday pattern for 2020!
I have so many to come before Christmas....

I wanted to make new stockings for my girls this year and they loved this yarn so much....this faux fur brings out the cozy!

You will need ONLY ONE ball of Fable Fur from WeCrochet to make one stocking!
Talk about budget friendly.

It's also super bulky, so this works up very quickly.

Look at all the colours you can choose from to make matching stockings for your family.

Grab some Fable Fur....add to cart by clicking HERE

Now for the super easy pattern.

Notes before you begin:
-I have labelled this pattern as easy/advanced for a reason: this yarn makes it hard to see stitches, you have to feel for your stitches to know where they are.  If you are a beginner crocheter, I wouldn't recommend this being one of the first yarns you try.  Please use this pattern with ANY super bulky yarn and try it out first.
-the stocking is worked in the round: starting from the toe, to the heel, and then continued all the way to the top
-I used EXACTLY one ball for each stocking I made, if you want to make a bigger size, you will need to grab yourself another skein

Ready?

Let's get to the pattern.

OTH Crochet Nook Pattern: Faux Fur Stocking

Level:

Easy/Advanced

Yarn:

1 x Fable Fur from WeCrochet (I used Topo [light blue] and Paloma [light pink])

Round 4 - 6: Sc in each st around, sl st to join, Ch 1. (24)

*pattern will continue to Round 7 after you make the heel*

Heel:

*You will now work rows back and fourth across half of the stocking, decreasing for 4 rows, and then increasing for 4 rows.  The heel will be seamed at this point (you will cut your yarn to seam, and join back to finish the stocking.  I've included pictures below of each step of the heel.

Fold heel flap, seam, and fold inside out as pictured below.

After Row 8, fold heel flap and seam sides.
Then turn heel inside out.

Ankle/Rest of Stocking:

Now join yarn at the back of the ankle and start working in the round.

(continued)

Round 7: Sc in each st around, sl st to join, Ch 1. (24)

Repeat Round 7 for 20 rows (the yarn will end here), sl st, and fasten off.

Fold top over to create a cuff.

Add/attach a ribbon/yarn/hook to hang it.

That's it!
