Taylor Swift Crochet Mini Dress

The second this photo made it around the world, it went viral.

My crochet heart was so happy!

And the crochet maker community went bananas...looking for the pattern, the dress, the yarn...

So I decided to put it all in one place for you!

The yarn, the pattern, and the stitch tutorial, enjoy!

THE ORIGINAL DRESS:

Here is the original dress, from an Australian brand Vrg Grl, which of course is SOLD OUT.

THE PATTERN:

**Updated** A pattern was published on Ravelry in a few hours, click HERE to purchase/download it.

The pattern is owner is Sonia Ridsdel.

THE YARN:

My friends at We Crochet were quick to share a yarn option that matches the original dress.

Comfy Worsted in colours: Conch, Lilac Mist, Ivory, and Thicket.

Click HERE to get the yarn!

THE STITCH:

The dress is made using the Granny Stitch.

This is a simple stitch that is classic to making granny squares, but instead of working in the round, you are crocheting left to right.

Here is a video tutorial on the Granny Stitch, click HERE from creator: Play Hooky with Me

Now you have everything you need all in one place to re-create this viral crochet mini dress, I can't wait to see it!

Happy Making!

  3. Hi, For yarn, I looked at what is suggested and found comparable yarn that fit the gauge. I chose to use Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Cotton yarn. When I make the starting chain, I’m measuring it against my shoulder seam to the length I want for myself. Hope that helps! Here is the link for yarn substitutes for the Comfy yarn. https://yarnsub.com/yarns/knit_picks/comfy_worsted
