First Love Sweater

The first sweater I ever made was completely oversized,
had missed stiches, and a ton of mistakes.
When I posted it…you all loved it…and you perfectly named it The First Love Sweater.
And how fitting…being my first finished garment, its truly my first love.

I got my hands on some brand new skeins of Caron x Pantone and decided to make
the re-vamped version of this sweater with it.
It has 20% Merino Wool…so it feels like silk when you wear it, so much luxury!!

Caron x Pantone

So you asked for the pattern….and here it is.
Make sure to read the notes before you begin.

Notes before you begin:
-you can use ANY yarn you choose….this sweater can be adjusted to your tension
-you can make any size or length (your initial chain will determine the width of your body, measure it up against yourself to get the right size)
-if you want it oversized, add 10 more chains to your initial chain
-the pattern consists of 2 identical panels (front and back), seamed together leaving arm and neck holes, and sleeves are crocheted in the round attached at the arm holes
-I made a size medium for myself
-I decided to make stripes based on the yarn I used, you can make this one colour or multiple colours, up to you
-I changed colours every row, and the top and bottom of each panel has an extra row of black
-Each Caron x Pantone skein is made up of 5 segments (5 colours), so when I refer to segments in this pattern, you know what I mean
-I used a Yarn Winder to make cakes of each colour

Total yarn I used for this sweater:
2 x Caron x Pantone – Elephant Grey (I used all the colours)
2 x Caron x Pantone – Peach Blush Parfait (I used 3 out of the 5 colours)
2 x Caron x Pantone Solids – Raven (this skein is all black)
*I used 4 segments for each sleeve (total: 8 segments for both sleeves)
