Gemshaw Blanket

The name of this blanket is so special to me.

I moved so much during my childhood. 10 times to be exact.

Changed schools, made new friends, and have amazing memories with my extended family helping us move from house to house.

The first house I arrived from the hospital in was on a street named Gemshaw...this blanket reminds me of the comfort of that home.

Check out the cars parked on the driveway! #the80s

I used Biggo yarn from WeCrochet.

It's one of the softest yarns to work with combined with superwash merino and nylon.

The bulky weight make it perfect for beginner projects.

Notes before you begin:

  • The first chain does NOT count as the first stitch
  • My finished size is for a baby blanket
  • You can increase the initial chain to make any size you'd like, just chain an even number.
